Maple Fudge

Ingredients

2 c pure maple syrup

1 c heavy cream

3/4 c dark brown sugar

2 tbsp butter

1 pinch salt

2/3 c chopped walnuts

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 tsp maple extract


Directions

  1. Line an 8x8 inch dish with parchment paper

  2. Bring maple syrup, cream, and brown sugar to a boil ina saucepan over medium heat. Continue to boil without stirring until mixture starts to bubble and is 240 degrees Farenheit on a candy thermoment

  3. Remove from heat. Add butter and salt but do not mix. Let sit until mixture is 105 degrees

  4. Add walnuts, vanilla, and maple extract. Beat until mixture loses its gloss.

  5. Pour into the lined pan and let cool until room temperature. Cut, wrap, and store int he refigerator.
